Hazardous Waste Audits
AWM develops programs to facilitate compliance with Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Toxic Substances
Control Act (TSCA), the Occupational Safety and Health Act
(OSHA), and the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act (HMTA).
These important laws govern the handling, use, treatment, transportation
and disposal of hazardous materials and wastes. AWM also has
significant experience in audits for foreign host nation compliance.
In Plant Audits
AWM analyzes client operations to determine opportunities for
recycling, source separation, source reduction, process modifications,
and waste exchange. This service is designed to reduce the
volume of waste produced, thus reducing costs and meeting RCRA
and corresponding foreign regulation requirements.
Facility Conceptual Design
Should waste treatment be necessary, AWM helps select and design
the best system for client needs.
Facility Siting
Frequently, the treatment plant process is the most difficult
step in the development of a facility. AWM provides siting
assistance to determine transportation costs, risk assessment,
environmental impacts, public health considerations and, importantly,
public participation needs in both domestic and overseas locations.
